The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

O.K. i do understand your point, although I may not agree with its generality. But there is a whole lot of room in this discussion for a more common ground. There are many people who run businesses many different ways. I like that you added that last line I think it is possible to run a business, even in the present model, without focusing too much on the profit. This is true, but of course this is determined by the individual. In my case, which I admit is not normal in a capitalistic view, I took a location, knowing from day one, as I told my family, will never make me rich. I also knew I could make it a community store, which more important makes me happy. Profit is needed for many reasons, mine has been to upgrade, update, and make my store more of a homey place. Just making the point, I guess, that if profit was my main driving force, I would have done things different, like focus more on macros and things that generally fly off the shelves. I liken myself to this description you wrote earlier in this thread.Most small/craft brewers I know are proud of their beer and want to make the best possible beer that they can. Small brewers are especially willing to make personal sacrifices for quality because they have to look the consumer in the eye. My first hand experience with commercial brewers is that they try to cut corners to maximize their profit margin.Small store/big store.see where Im going with this?Profit is needed to keep the beer flowing. How much emphasis you put on profit is a personal decision. I have a barely profitable business by choice, as I spend a lot of time and energy promoting good beer, and the people who laud its benefits. Time that could be spent making business decisions that would raise my profits. But this is my trade-off. I truly enjoy what I do, and the people that I have met doing it. I have made actual friends doing this. My customers have become my friends, not just one or two, but dozens and dozens,which I do not think is the norm. When it comes down to it, I want the same thing as you. I want people to shop local, buy local products, and be local people. those of us who support local businesses have formed our own community, and it is us who can keep these local guys going. The profits that they make are what keeps them around to keep us happy and give us an environment that we as consumers actually have a voice. We have the unique opportunity to shape what goes on tap, on the shelves, and in the tanks (breweries) My point is, none of this would be possible if these ideas and suggestions did not result in a profit.Just some food for thoughtFood, fodder, whatever Food now Im hungryAlways fun here Donavan!

People tell me that the more Ram you have in your computer the faster your computer will be. I always thought that it was the processor that controls the speed of a computer and not the Ram.. .
