I think we have more in common here than less when it comes to our views on this. Yes, you are right in saying that each of us comes to the table with our own line, our own boundary, with what is moral and what isnt. In some cases, this is absolute, in others, it isnt. However, this variability (each of us has some basis where we draw the line, as you say) is the very thing that makes comprehensive moral absolutes impractical. Creating laws defining morality on a case-by-case basis is one thing, and a good thing at that. Broadly claiming that everything has a right to live and comparing moral situations that are not comparable is entirely different.

David Cook sang Eleanor Rigby, and I really liked his version. He has grown on me and I like him more each week. I don’t think it was “brilliant†as Simon said, but he was really good and I believe he will make it to next week.Brooke White sang Let It Be, and she put her heart and soul into singing the song, tearing up (which made me tear up of course)! She sang well and has an ethereal quality about her that I like. I doubt that she will win the competition but her voice is really unique and I could see her having a singing career, a la Carol King. So many people get hired who turn out to be flakes. I know of a person hired several years ago that fits this description. But that person has it made so that person will never leave without something being changed in management. This person takes off “sick” all the time, claims that vacation promises were made when hired but that claim is not true, is not motivated to do anything unless forced to do work and much more. The solution is to put this person on an hourly basis and not pay this person for unworked hours that this person decides to take off. Many people take advantage of jobs like this one and it makes bad feelings for staff that really does work hard for the company.

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anythhing so I thought I’d let you guys know what was going on now. First of all, if you don’t already know this, Thad Davidson (Patrick Kelly’s attorney) filed a motion to remove Judge Jack Skeen from the bench due to his conduct durring the Pittman and Kelly trial. Unfortunately a Dallas Judge denied Mr. Davidson’s request so Skeen remains in control. Which doesn’t surprise me much. .Motions have been filed to consolidate all the defendants charges in to one big trial. The defense attorneys are still working on a change of venue. And Michael Hall has written another article on these cases in this months Texas Monthly. It’s good, you should read it. .But I saved the best news for last…Jamie is back in Smith County Jail. He returned to Tyler a few days ago. I got to actually speak to him for the first time in years. And I’m going to see him on Sunday. He also gets to see his son and mother whom he hasn’t seen since the trial. .Jamie informed me that he has NEVER been talked to about this case. Has NEVER been able to tell his story. I hope and pray he gets to soon. Tell me something…How can a man be accused, indicted, tried and convicted without ever getting to tell his side of things? That is rediculous if you ask me. .Anyways, just wanted to update you on the latest. .Tanya
